Webinar: Introduction to Seafloor Geohazards in Deep Water and Drilling Hazards Associated with Exploration Around Salt

Since the Macondo incident occurred in the Gulf of Mexico, the oil and gas industry has followed a diligent three-step approach of identification, prevention, and mitigation to address various drilling hazards that may be encountered in deep water. This presentation focuses on the important step of understanding the geologic origin of various hazards in deep water and around salt by reviewing the geologic origin, characteristics, and behaviors of deepwater hazards and challenges.
